Minnesota Dept of Propaganda

The Minnesota Department of Propaganda is part of the beautiful, absurd, and weirdly effective tradition of fake government agencies doing real political work. A Facebook page that adopts the voice of a state propaganda bureau — except the propaganda is for the left. The bit is the delivery mechanism: official-sounding pronouncements, bureaucratic aesthetics, and the deadpan confidence of an institution that absolutely does not exist. Underneath the joke is serious organizing energy — Minnesota has one of the most active progressive ecosystems in the country, and this page is its unofficial, unhinged press office. Why it's on the roster: because the Departments of Propaganda are a network unto themselves (Minnesota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, the Federal Department...), and they're doing some of the most shareable political comedy on the platform. The bit works because it's true: we *do* need a Department of Propaganda. Ours just happens to be run by shitposters.
