QUESTIONS? GOOD.
Everything you need to know about MTCSTW, Karl, the Ghoul Index, bounties, XP, cells, and how the machine works.
KARL: “Ask me anything. I show receipts or I say I don't know. Those are the only two moves.”
What is MTCSTW? What is The Propaganda Factory?
MTCSTW (Memes That Can Save The World) is the front. The Propaganda Factory is the engine. Together they’re a leftist media and organizing operation: real data about corporate power, an AI that shows receipts, and tools that turn outrage into action.
No think tank. No nonprofit board. A weapon.
How does Karl work? Where does his data come from?
Karl is our AI. You ask him a question — about a company, a CEO, a price, an eviction — and he answers with real data, not vibes. He pulls from 40+ query types across public records: corporate violations, CEO pay, political donations, prices, evictions, and more.
Every answer comes with receipts — the source, so you can verify it yourself. And when the data doesn’t have the answer, Karl says “I don’t know.” No hallucinating. No making it up.
What is the Ghoul Index? How is it scored?
The Ghoul Index ranks companies by misconduct. It pulls from 11 data sources: EPA violations, NLRB labor cases, CEO pay ratios, CFPB consumer complaints, FDA and CPSC recalls, SEC effective tax rates, lobbying spending, federal contracts, FEC political donations, and layoffs.
Each company gets a composite score weighted by severity and recency — a fresh wage-theft case counts more than a five-year-old paperwork fine. The worse the behavior, the higher the ghoul score. Browse it at the Ghoul Index.
What is Lux?
Lux is the bot that works while you sleep. It digs through the data looking for hidden connections — like “this company got federal contracts the same quarter it was fined for wage theft.”
When Lux finds something worth knowing, it feeds it to Karl and to the feed. Lux finds the story. Karl tells it. You spread it.
How do bounties work?
Bounties are missions. We post one — verify this price, photograph that shelf, dig up this record — and you complete it for XP. Some bounties are first-come, first-served. Some pay out to everyone who delivers.
Check the Bounties board, pick a mission, do the thing, get paid in XP.
What are photo bounties?
Photo bounties are simple: snap product prices in your area. Milk, eggs, rent signs, gas stations — whatever the bounty asks for.
Your photos build regional pricing data that no corporation will ever hand over. Aggregated, anonymized, and weaponized: “milk costs $X in Louisiana and the CEO made $Y.” Your camera is a data weapon.
What are data bounties?
Data bounties are missions for the data-hungry: find a public record, verify a number, file a FOIA, track a disclosure. While photo bounties feed the price tracker, data bounties feed the machine itself — every record you dig up becomes part of the public data that powers Karl, the Ghoul Index, and the API.
If you’d rather dig than photograph, this is your lane. Check the Bounties board for open data missions.
How does XP work?
XP is how the movement measures contribution. You earn it for actions: votes, submissions, bounties, sharing, check-ins. More action, more XP, higher rank.
XP buys status, not stuff. There’s a daily cap so nobody games it, and real money is fully delinked — buying something never earns XP. You can’t buy your way up the board. You earn it.
What are first-claim bonuses and daily streaks?
First-claim pioneer bonuses: the first person to complete something new gets 2–3x XP. First to price-check a store. First to verify a bounty in a new zip code. Pioneers get paid.
Daily “first up” bonus: the first check-in of each day earns a bonus, and streaks multiply it. Show up every day and the machine notices.
How do I get a callsign?
Your callsign is your name in the fight — a pseudonym, not your real name. When you arrive, the site prompts you to claim one: pick it, lock it in, and it follows you across bounties, XP ranks, and cells.
No account wall, no email hostage situation. One prompt, one action, and you’re in.
What is Barcode Scan?
Point your phone camera at a product barcode and get the dirt instantly: the brand’s Ghoul Index score, parent company, violations, and CEO pay. Aisle-side accountability.
It’s in the side menu under Barcode Scan. Scan before you buy — or scan to confirm why you shouldn’t.
What is My HQ?
My HQ is your dashboard: your XP and rank, quick access to every tool, the master calendar, and your activity feed. One screen, everything you’ve got going on.
It’s the site’s homepage now — land on mtcstw.com and you’re already there.
Is my data private?
Yes — and we mean it structurally, not as a pinky promise. Your callsign is pseudonymous. We collect zip code, never GPS. We never require your real name. We never sell data. We run no ads and do no individual targeting or manipulation scoring.
Your activity becomes aggregated movement intelligence — “milk costs $X in Louisiana” — never a dossier on you. Full details in the Privacy Policy.
Is it free? How do you make money?
Free to use. No ads. We never sell your data. That’s not a marketing line, it’s the business model: the money comes from the movement itself — merch, subscriptions, War Bonds, creator revenue shares — never from advertisers, never from data brokers.
If a company can’t explain how it makes money without selling you, you’re the product. We can explain ours.
How do I join Sick Left Radicals?
Sick Left Radicals is our 62-creator network — propagandists, organizers, and shitposters with a combined reach in the millions. Want in? Head to the roster and hit the “Want in?” link. Tell us who you are, what you make, and where people find you.
We curate for quality and alignment, not follower counts. Make good propaganda, mean it, and there’s a seat for you.
What is Creator Studio?
Creator Studio is where you make propaganda: memes, remixes, fact cards. Templates, the Ghoul Index data, Karl’s receipts — everything you need to turn a corporate crime into a shareable weapon in minutes.
Make it. Share it. Tag it. The feed does the rest.
How do cells work?
Cells are local organizing groups. Same zip code, same fight. Find a cell near you, join one, or start your own. Cells get a dashboard — member lists, coordinated actions, leaderboards — tied into the feed so local wins get movement-wide attention.
The revolution is local. Cells are how it organizes.
Do you have an API? Where does the data come from?
Yes — the Propaganda Factory API serves campaign finance, corporate accountability, lobbying, PE, patent, and health data across 27 endpoints and 45+ public datasets. Free tier: 1,000 calls/month, no credit card.
Every record comes from free public sources — FEC, SEC, USPTO, OSHA, EPA, Senate lobbying disclosures, and more. Full details in the Data FAQ and the API FAQ.
How do I report a bug or contact you?
Found something broken? Tell us straight: email mtcstw@gmail.com with what happened, what device you’re on, and a screenshot if you’ve got one.
If it’s a data error (wrong number, bad record), see How do I report a data error? in the Data FAQ. No contact forms, no ticket purgatory — we read every email.
What can I do on day one?
Five minutes, five moves:
1. Claim your callsign. 2. Ask Karl one question about a company you hate. 3. Check the Ghoul Index for a brand in your kitchen. 4. Grab a bounty. 5. Share one thing.
That’s it. You’re in.
