COOKIES: WE BARELY USE THEM.
No tracking cookies. No ad cookies. No third-party analytics. Just localStorage for app state and a service worker cache for offline mode.
KARL: “A cookie banner with 400 toggles is a confession. We have nothing to confess.”
WHAT WE ACTUALLY USE
- localStorage (your device, not a cookie): stores your callsign, session state, and preferences like notification settings. It never leaves your phone unless the app needs it to log you in. Clear it anytime in your browser settings — you’ll just have to sign in again.
- Service worker cache: stores app files locally so the site works offline as a PWA. This is storage, not tracking — it contains code and assets, not a profile of you.
- Essential session cookies: we may set a minimal cookie to keep you signed in during a session. That’s it. No cross-site anything.
WHAT WE DON’T USE
- No tracking cookies. We don’t follow you around the internet.
- No advertising cookies. There are no ads on this site. There is nothing to optimize.
- No third-party analytics cookies. No Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no fingerprinting scripts.
- No “consent” dark patterns. There’s no 400-toggle cookie banner because there’s nothing to consent to.
THIRD PARTIES
Payments run through Stripe’s own checkout pages, which are external to our site. Stripe may set its own cookies there under Stripe’s privacy policy — that happens on their domain, not ours, and we never see your payment details.
TAKING CONTROL
Your browser already gives you every control you need:
- Clear site data (cookies, localStorage, cache) in your browser settings to wipe everything we store locally.
- Use private/incognito mode if you want nothing persisted at all.
- Unregister the service worker in your browser’s site settings to kill offline mode.
None of this breaks our promises, because there was never any tracking to opt out of.
CHANGES
If we ever start using cookies for something new, we’ll update this page and say so plainly — no burying it in legalese. Effective date: October 11, 2026. Questions: mtcstw@gmail.com.
